Studios are often personal and private spaces, each one unique and individual, directly reflecting the character and persona of the artist. They are places of contemplation, design, inspiration, isolation, collaboration, creation, construction, spontaneity, frustration, de-construction, relief, exhilaration and relaxation. Some will be chaotic, others havens of calm. Some spaces are heaving with a mixture of creative folk all working side by side, while other sites offer undiscovered pockets of individual innovation and expression.

During Host 07 over 100 artists from around the region offer you a snippet of their world. Divided into Urban and Rural weekends, the trail invites you to experience the variety of atmospheres in 19 different venues.We are truly grateful to HBOS for their support of this year’s event. Enjoy.
